Children’s parties
A calm, friendly table in the corner of the party that keeps children happily occupied and gives parents a breather.

Face painting and party art in Hove, Brighton and across Sussex
I’m Chiara Tucker — the face behind The Happy Harlequin. Butterflies, tigers, unicorns, superheroes and the occasional very specific dinosaur, painted at parties, school fairs and fetes across Sussex.
I’m a primary school teacher, so I take bookings at weekends and during school holidays.
A few favourites
Made for little imaginations
Every design is painted by hand, and can be tweaked to suit whoever’s in the chair.
Ready for the day
I bring the whole setup
For bigger events, I arrive with the gazebo, chair and all the professional kit needed to get painting. It keeps the space welcoming, organised and sheltered from a very British summer day.
Where I turn up
Parties, fairs and everything in between
School fairs & PTA events
A stall that draws a queue and raises money, with the paperwork your committee needs sent over in advance.
Village fetes & community days
Gazebo, table and everything needed to run in a field all afternoon, whatever the weather does.
Got a date in mind?
Every party and every fete is different, so I price each one individually — send me the date, the place and roughly how many children, and I’ll come back with a quote.
Summer weekends and December book up a long way ahead.
